Character Through Service: Samuel Munachi’s Inspiring Journey from Volunteer to Best Volunteer of the Year
Volunteerism is one of the most positive and transformative ways to engage the minds and hearts of teenagers. It helps build strong character, develops a growth-oriented mindset, replaces unhealthy screen time, and keeps idle minds productively occupied. Most importantly, it protects young people from the dangers of substance use, negative influences, and addictions — especially when they serve in reputable, supportive, and growth-oriented organizations like ours.
Let me share the inspiring story of Samuel Munachi, one of our dedicated volunteers at Cope and Live Mental Health Awareness Foundation.
In just one year of consistent volunteering, Samuel has achieved remarkable growth:
Awarded Best Volunteer of the Year 2025.
Completed the Basic Stress Management Course and received a certificate accredited by the International Association of Therapists (IAOTH) through our COLI Mental Health Academy.
Completed the Basic Emotional Intelligence Course and earned certification.
Actively participated in numerous community outreach programs.
Built valuable networks by meeting influential personalities and mentors.
Experienced significant improvement in self-awareness, soft skills, emotional regulation, and overall well-being — a transformation noticed and celebrated by many around him.
On Saturday, 18th April 2026, Samuel was awarded Best Volunteer of the Year 2025 during our Team Connect event. This exclusive gathering was intentionally designed for our team members to appreciate their dedication, relieve stress, create a safe space for open conversations and emotional expression, strengthen team spirit, and foster deeper personal connections beyond daily duties.
Dear Parents,
Your teenager is not too young to begin investing in their future. They are not too young to serve in reputable organizations, develop essential life skills, enroll in self-improvement courses, discover their purpose, and make better life decisions. They are not too young to build resilience through responsibility and exposure to meaningful work.
Dear Teens,
This is your moment. Start investing in yourself today — in your mental well-being, self-discovery, and personal growth.
Your teenage years are a powerful fraction of your life — the best time to build, grow, and lay a strong foundation instead of wasting them on distractions or avoidable setbacks. Volunteering will help you build a stronger identity, develop healthy self-esteem, and create a solid foundation for your future.
We warmly invite you and your teenager to join us at Cope and Live Mental Health Awareness Foundation.
