Empowering Mental Wellness
through awareness, education and compassionate support
Who we are
Registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission of Nigeria in 2024, Cope and Live Mental Health Awareness Foundation is a non-governmental organization dedicated to transforming lives through mental health support, advocacy, and education. Based in Nigeria, we operate with a mission to ensure that individuals, families, and communities—especially the most vulnerable—have access to compassionate, high-quality mental health resources. Our work is driven by the belief that mental well-being is a fundamental human right, not a privilege.
Mission
To provide accessible mental health services, break the stigma surrounding mental illness, and empower individuals and communities to thrive emotionally and psychologically. We strive to create a world where every person can seek help without fear, shame, or barriers.
Why Choose Us?
At Cope and Live, we're more than a mental health organization—we're a lifeline for those society often overlooks. Registered in 2024 with the Nigerian Corporate Affairs Commission and accredited by the International Association of Therapists (IAOTH), UK, our foundation is rooted in the belief that mental well-being is a fundamental human right. From free counseling sessions to innovative skill-building programs, we deliver compassionate, evidence-based support across Nigeria . Here's why thousands trust us to transform lives:
-
RESULTS
Unmatched Impact: Real Change, Measurable Results
We've touched over 10,000 lives since inception, delivering 300+ hours of free counseling, training 20+ community leaders in mental health first aid, and reaching 10,563 individuals through awareness campaigns and psychosocial engagements. In 2024 alone, we visited 17 schools with 6,000+ attendees, supported 2,573 flood victims in Borno State, and empowered 200+ SGBV survivors via support groups in English and Hausa. Our 2025 initiatives—like the COLI Mental Health Academy's stress management courses and art therapy bootcamps—continue this momentum, fostering resilience in schools, prisons, corporates, and crisis zones. Join the movement: We've saved futures, one conversation at a time.

VALUES
Guided by Unwavering Values: Compassion, Inclusion, and Child Protection at Our Core
Every action stems from our pillars: empathy without judgment, ethical integrity, safeguarding children, embracing all backgrounds, collaborative power, and bold innovation. We're not just treating symptoms—we're building resilient communities where vulnerability is strength, not shame. As Rev. Nwachukwu says, "Mental health isn't a privilege; it's a right we fight for daily."
-

PIONEERS
Innovation Meets Advocacy: Breaking Stigma Through Partnerships and Research
We're pioneers: Our COLI Academy (coliacademy.org) offers accredited training on everything from emotional intelligence bootcamps for kids to corporate resilience workshops for Zenith Bank and Nigerian Breweries staff. We advocate for mental health policies, conduct cutting-edge research, and partner with powerhouses like QAPS (UK), Mental Health Universe (Uganda), Raphatech, Alpha Specialist Hospital, Enugu State Ministry of Child and Gender Affairs, Enugu State Ministry of Agriculture, MTN, and many more. From reintegrating prison returnees to equipping farmers against sector-specific stressors, our collaborative approach creates sustainable, stigma-free ecosystems—because one partnership can amplify thousands of voices.
