Cope and Live Mental Health Awareness Foundation & Rangers Intl Fc Foundation Ambassador heads To Algeria To Represent Nigeria
On July 23, 2025, Ogechukwu Kalu, a 16-year-old multi-talented athlete from Abia State, departed from Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja to participate in the inaugural African School Sports Games in Algeria, held from July 23 to August 6, 2025. Representing Nigeria, Ogechukwu will compete for a podium position in the male taekwondo events.
A product of Rangers International FC Foundation’s “MentorMe” program and an ambassador for the Cope and Live Mental Health Awareness Foundation’s Multi-Sports framework, Ogechukwu has demonstrated remarkable progress. The “MentorMe” initiative has equipped him with essential mental and emotional skills, enabling him to transform challenges such as fear, anxiety, and stress into strengths, positioning him to excel and represent Nigeria proudly.
Through their strengthened partnership, Rangers International FC Foundation and Cope and Live Mental Health Awareness Foundation are providing further opportunities via the Coli Academy - the Mental Health Educational arm of Cope and Live Mental Health Awareness foundation: www.coliacademy.org. The academy offers training in mental health, counseling, and personal development to help individuals unlock their potential and achieve their aspirations.
Ogechukwu, a student at Government Science Technical College Abuja, where he studies Electrical Installations and Maintenance Work, is a Multi-Sport athlete showcasing exceptional talent and dedication.
