Healing In Plain Sight: Mental Health Support Hits The Gutsy Experience 2026
On 18 July 2026, the Cope and Live Mental Health Awareness Foundation partnered with the GUTSY Woman Network to deliver a dedicated Mental Health Awareness experience at The Gutsy Experience 2026 - a Women’s Inclusive Growth Program. Our exclusive booth at the event provided a safe, welcoming space offering free mental health screenings, one-on-one counselling, play therapy, wellness resources, and access to the Foundation’s toll-free helpline.
Objectives
Raise public awareness of mental health and emotional well-being
Reduce stigma through education and open conversations
Provide psychosocial support and early identification of anxiety and depression
Promote healthy coping strategies and self-care practices
Key Activities
Mental health assessments and free one-on-one counselling were professionally administered and supervised. Participants received individual results with guidance, recommendations, and referrals where required. Complimentary journaling books and stress-relief balls were distributed to support ongoing self-care; the stress-relief balls also served as practical tools for teaching healthy stress-management techniques. Play therapy and interactive games enabled emotional expression, relaxation, and stress relief. The Foundation’s toll-free helpline for suicide prevention and mental health support was shared with all attendees.
Outcomes
Over 80 individuals accessed free screenings, counselling, interactive activities, and wellness resources. Participants described the experience as enlightening, practical, impactful, and refreshing. Many reported feeling happier, relieved, more hopeful, seen, and valued after counselling sessions. Several attendees expressed interest in hosting similar booths at their own events and community programmes. The high level of engagement underscored growing public awareness of mental health and the value of proactive well-being support.
