Menstrual Hygiene Day 2026 Outreach At Ozalla High School
Beyond the Pads – A memorable day of learning, inclusion, and holistic wellness!
On May 29, 2026, the Cope and Live Mental Health Awareness Foundation and the UNTH Foundation proudly hosted the second edition of our joint Total Care Mind and Body Outreach at Ozalla High School, Ozalla, Nkanu West LGA, Enugu State.
Approximately 200 students (about 120 girls and 80 boys) gathered for an engaging session focused on menstrual health, emotional wellbeing, and breaking taboos. We intentionally included the boys to promote understanding, support, and inclusion – because healthy conversations benefit everyone.
Quick Recap of Our First Outreach
This school program builds beautifully on the successful launch of the Total Care Mind and Body Outreach series. On January 24, 2026, we held the maiden edition at the Community Primary School Field in Ameke Ozalla. Over 100 seniors and retirees (60+) received free holistic care, including:
Medical checks
Dental screenings
Gentle wellness exercises
Mental health talks (covering loneliness, dementia awareness, and more)
TB, HIV, and Syphilis screenings
Nutrition and counseling support
It was a heartwarming day that reminded us all that true wellbeing cares for both mind and body at every stage of life.
