Who Holds The Canvas When Hands Fail: The Power Of A Support System

01

On 6 August 2026, at the Glow Pulse Emotional Intelligence Bootcamp, Isioma Idika painted live in front of everyone.

She has cerebral palsy. She cannot use her limbs.
Yet she held the brush firmly in her mouth and created beauty—fast, accurate, breathtaking—with no pencil sketch needed.

Beside her stood her brother: cleaning brushes, preparing paint, holding the canvas steady.
Behind her stands her family: providing everything, running her social media, reshaping their entire lives around her gift.

Isioma is a genius.
But she could achieve none of this without her support system.

Nearly 1 in 6 people worldwide feel lonely - WHO Commission on Social Connection.
Loneliness is linked to 871,000 deaths every year—about 100 every hour.
Its impact on premature death is comparable to smoking 15 cigarettes a day.
Lonely people are twice as likely to experience depression.

A genuine support system does more than offer encouragement when life happens.
It stands in the gap when you cannot stand for yourself.

And the deeper question remains:
Can you stand for others when they cannot help themselves?

We are called to bear one another’s burdens and serve “the least of these.”

True family holds the canvas when hands fail. It adjusts. It stays. It sacrifices.

Who would hold your canvas today if you couldn’t? Whose canvas are you willing to hold?

We were never meant to stand alone.

39 children attended our opening ceremony.
