Investing In The Next Generation Of Women
Today we celebrate every girl—her dreams, her voice, her strength, and her right to a safe, educated, and healthy future. At CALMHAF, we believe mental well-being is a fundamental right, and investing in girls means building their emotional resilience so they can thrive no matter the challenges.
Through our programmes we walk alongside girls and those who support them:
- We equip female students with knowledge and tools on menstrual hygiene, mental health, and preventing sexual and gender-based violence through our Student-to-Student Initiative, empowering them to become change-makers in their schools and communities.
- We help special-needs girls (including those with hearing and speech impairments) express their emotions, dreams, and inner strength through art therapy—turning silence into colour and building confidence.
- Our GlowPulse EQ Bootcamps and emotional intelligence sessions teach children (including girls) resilience, healthy boundaries, emotional validation, and the skills to navigate life’s pressures.
- Through our Mother-to-Mother and Support for Caregivers initiatives, we strengthen the mental health of mothers and caregivers so that girl children grow up in more supportive, resilient homes.
Girls face unique pressures—from societal expectations to barriers like child marriage—but they are also leaders, innovators, and sources of hope. Resilience is not about never facing hardship; it is about having the tools, support, and belief to rise, speak, learn, and lead despite them.
On this International Day of the Girl Child, we reaffirm our commitment to investing in girls’ rights and mental well-being. We encourage every girl to know her worth, protect her dreams, and keep rising. And we call on families, schools, and communities to create the safe, empowering environments every girl deserves.
Together, we end the barriers. Together, we invest in girls. Together, we build resilient futures.
